"The Little Man with The Big Cigar" collected championships at Seekonk Speedway and on the
dirt at Lakeville Speedway over a three-decade career that included victories at Seekonk (28 of
them), Westboro and Lakeville. He remains one of Seekonk's most popular competitors.
Part of
one of New England's premier racing families, the Westport, MA product began in the early 1950s. He emerged from "the flathead days" into a versatile contender throughout the Northeast
with strong runs at Thompson, Waterford and Lebanon Valley.
